Miriam spins her tale: I discovered Travis by coincidence. On june 7 1997 I went to an indoor
festival in Amsterdam called 'London calling'. I actually went there to see my
darling Subcircus, but gave all the other bands on that evening a fair listen as
well ;-) Travis was a delight to see in this age of dreary Indie rock. from
solemn ballads to tongue in cheeck lyrics, they were my discovery of the
evening. Of course Fran Healy's smile helped ;-), and oooh that Glaswegian
accent :-) I was a bit disappointed with the b-sides to the singles, but the
album is bound to be a classic!
