Leigh slags off Oasis: December 1997, me, my friend Julie, my brother Andrew, and my ex, were all at the Glasgow SECC to see Oasis. Oasis had just walked off stage the night before (wankers) 'cos someone threw a bottle, so we were all a bit worried in case someone swore or said Man City were shite or said anything to rub the Gallaghers up the wrong the way (wankers).
Anyway this band came on stage.
"Who are they?"
"Travis."
"Oh yeah, I think that's them who sing that song??? Eh Happy."
Well, within 10 minutes we were all in complete awe (except my ex, he's an Englishman with a chip on his shoulder, thought there were too many Scots about as it was).
After the show we all agreed that Travis put on a far better show than Oasis. They were absolutley fantastic, we told everyone about them, but no-one believed us. We were actually laughed at until last year when the whole of Britain started to sing "why does it always rain on me" every time it rained. They are superb. I have seen them twice since that day and they are heading T in the Park this year too, even my mum and dad want to go and see them.
