I went to the Oasis concert in Chicago back in April. I found out that
Travis was the opening act. I thought this was a good time to listen to them
and see what they had to offer. And a lot they did have to offer!! They
were bloody brilliant!!! I thought they were a wee bit better than Oasis. I
tell ya, after the first song I wanted them to play forever. So that
weekend, I definitely bought the album. I listened to it a gazillion times.
I learned every word.
Then in late April I heard that they would be at a local
radio concert. I had to get tickets. I took three of my good friends. All
three of them fell in love with Travis that afternoon. One of my friends and
myself ended up being 5 feet away from the stage. My other two friends were
on the other side of the stage, standing in front of Dougie. At one point my
friend Heather thought he winked at her. So she moved closer and couldnt
keep her eyes off of him. After that wonderful 45 mins (I think it should of
been all day!) we left. I had tears in my eyes. Now I have tickets to
another show. I can't wait to see them again. Its gonna be good.
