Conundrum

Craig recounts: I first heard Travis a little over a year ago. I was flipping through channels, when I came upon VH1. I saw the beginning of a video called "Why does it always rain on me." At that point in my life, that is exactly the same question I was asking myself. I did not watch the video as much as I listened to the song. Being a fellow musician, I was blown away musically. Lyrically, I could relate because the words seem to be a biography of the recent events in my life with the death if my brother. I immediately went and bought the The Man Who album. I will confess, I did not listen to the whole album at first. It was a few months before I actually sat down and took the time to really get the whole essence of Travis, but when I made the conversion, I became a fan for life. I recently bought the new album and was once again blown away. I like how the expanded musically to other instruments & vocally with the secret songs. The vocals on this album are more profound, using them not only as a tool of communication but also as a musical instrument.
